Augustus “Gus” Krier Ness

Attorney Augustus “Gus” Krier Ness is dedicated to providing thoughtful, aggressive, and diligent representation for individuals facing criminal charges throughout North Idaho.

Gus earned his Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2023. During law school, he gained extensive courtroom and litigation experience through internships with the Spokane County Superior Court and the Idaho State Public Defender's Kootenai office.

Following graduation, Gus joined the Kootenai County branch of the Idaho State Public Defender's Office as a Deputy Public Defender, representing clients charged with a wide range of criminal offenses. In addition to his general criminal defense practice, he served as his office's representative to the County's Domestic Violence Court and DUI Court diversion programs, working closely with individuals participating in rehabilitation-focused alternatives within the criminal justice system.

Drawing on this experience, Gus understands the stress and uncertainty that accompany criminal charges. He is committed to providing every client with clear guidance, strong advocacy, and individualized attention from start to finish.
