Joe received his Juris Doctor from the Gonzaga University School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2015. During law school, he worked as a Law Clerk for the United States Attorney's Office in the Eastern District of Washington and managed the Petty offenses Docket for Spokane where he prosecuted federal governmental regulatory offenses in the magistrate court. He started his law enforcement career in 2000 with the Latah County Sheriff's Office in Moscow, Idaho and was soon hired by the Idaho State Police in 2001. During his time at ISP, Joe was a Trooper, Corporal, and Detective and he enjoyed being a Ground Control Instructor and member of the Crowd Intervention Team. As a Detective, Joe participated in the investigation of officer involved shootings and criminal uses of force.
